A standard-sized website is 4-6 pages, offering plenty of space to share a narrative of who you are and what you have to offer.

Typical pages for a site of this size include things such as Home, About, Services, Events, Resources, Portfolio or Contact. Designed and built in a way that makes updating of indexed content (such as portfolios, events, and blogs) particularly easy to maintain, a standard-sized site offers plenty of current and future flexibility.

Process / deliverables, in brief

  • Guided pre-work to explore goals, brand & content

  • In-depth, virtual kick-off work session

  • Support with setting up domain name and website platform subscription, if needed

  • Support in determining content strategy (how your content is organized into pages and sections on the website)

  • A visual site style brief

  • The site “logo” as a simple wordmark in one of the website fonts

  • Guidance and editing support for copy (writing), if needed

  • Up to 6-page website optimized for various screen sizes, incorporating basic SEO and accessibility standards

  • A single form (e.g., to collect email addresses or have visitors submit a contact request)

  • Training on how to update the site and content in future.

  • Regular, scheduled Zoom or Google meeting availability over the course of your project timeline.

  • 60-days of post-launch support

My baseline goals for every project are:

  • to authentically showcase who you are and what you bring to the world

  • to create a site that enables your own clients to easily engage with you and your offerings

  • to collaborate transparently with you, utilizing tools and a framework that de-mystifies the process of getting a website set up

  • to equip you to manage updates to your site after our work together is completed

Cost: $3250

$3250 includes all of the stated deliverables and is for an up-to 6-page website with one (optional) form built on the Squarespace* platform.

Additional pages, if needed, start at $250 per page (costs are dependent on the level of uniqueness and functional complexity each page requires).

Add-ons such as e-commerce (shop/storefront), email marketing (e-newsletters/subscriber lists), multi-view event calendars, scheduling (appointment booking) and donation forms can vary a fair bit depending on complexity and which platform your site is built on, thus these will be custom-quoted.

Prices shown here do not include:

  • domain name registration fees

  • web builder monthly or annual subscription fees

  • GST/HST if in Canada

After we’ve chatted and I have a clearer understanding of your project scope and needs I will outline all costs for you prior to any work agreement so that the full investment, including ongoing web builder subscription costs, is clear.


Additional

  • Full copywriting services, if needed, would be contracted out to a third-party to be quoted independently of my work.

  • If you are needing more in-depth branding than a simple wordmark on the website please let me know. I take on branding on occasion for additional cost, or can refer you to a third-party who specializes in that type of work.\

*This package is for sites built on Squarespace. I recommend Squarespace for its non-expert usability when it comes to ongoing content maintenance, as well as for its design and functionality options.

I also frequently recommend and design sites built in Webflow if you are looking for a platform that enables more robust design, functionality, and content management options. Webflow websites start at this same price point but will be custom-quoted given the far larger range of design/build options you may be looking for and the complexity that these options introduce.

If you have another web builder you’d like to utilize (other than Squarespace or Webflow) please let me know and we can discuss options. To note: I do not currently design/build websites in Wordpress.

  • My primary focus is working with solopreneurs, coaching, health & wellness practitioners, consultants, writers and designers.

  • In terms of new website designs I am currently offering websites designed and built using subscription-based web builders. While I typically recommend Squarespace or Webflow I’m open to conversation if you have another platform you need to use (for example, an online learning platform such as Thinkific or Learnworlds or ecommerce platform like Shopify).

    I do not currently design websites in Wordpress. If you are looking for a website designed in Wordpress I recommend finding a design partner who specializes in it.

  • Sure can! My packages exist to bring pricing/process transparency (and efficiency!) to most standard web design needs, but I’d love to chat about any outside-these-boxes ideas you have and see if we’d be a fit.

  • Typically, all of my work has a preset (or custom-quoted) package price.

    In terms of site updates I have found that it’s typically more cost effective and time efficient for clients to save up/bundle work into half-day or full-day chunks of time rather than spread it out ad hoc. Please reach out for pricing estimates for this type of work.

    I will bill hourly if a client is looking to add work onto an in-progress project. If that is the case a time estimate will be discussed prior to the additional work. Hourly rate is $125/hr

  • The minimum time to completion is 1-week for a one-page site and 3-weeks for a multi-page site. That said, I'm open to adjusting the project pace to meet you where you are.

  • For new websites, how much time/effort will depend on the package you are choosing. The bulk of your work will be writing the content for your site and gathering any visual assets to be included on it. For a 4-6 page site anticipate anywhere from 10-30 hours to do this work.

  • While my main focus is designing websites I may be open to other work (e.g., designing books is a delight!) OR I know some talented folks who I can connect you with to tackle other design projects. So don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll see how I can support.

  • 50% is paid up front, 50% paid upon the completion of the work.

    I accept payment via credit card internationally. If you are located in Canada I also accept payment via Interac Direct Transfer. For anyone outside of Canada you will be billed in USD at the price listed on this site or in your custom quote.

  • I’m located in Vancouver, Canada. While most of my clients are from Canada and the US I'd love to work with you wherever you are!
